One of southern Germany’s leading providers of automated car washes is relying on Qdos pumps from Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) to dose an expensive pre-cleaning chemical. Among the purchase decision factors in favour of the Qdos over diaphragm pumps were dosing accuracy, ease-of-operation and ease-of-maintenance.

Bredel 65 hose pumps from Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group are now providing constant efficiency in ball-milling processes at a high-volume battery plant in China. Previously, ball milling was being compromised by a poorly performing AODD (air-operated double diaphragm) pump used for high-viscosity slurry recirculation. Reduced flow/efficiency and leaks were proving disruptive to the company’s annual output of circa 200 million rear-mounted batteries, around 50% of which is based on lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo4) materials technology. The AODD pumps have now been replaced by the Bredel 65 models, which are providing optimum performance without any wear issues.

With the addition of two larger models, Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) has now completed its range of process pumps for industrial, environmental and food industry applications. The existing 530 model is joined by the 630 and 730, which feature an enhanced operator and control system interface, and a bright colour display.
